The Hackney Songbirds is a free community singing group which meets on Fridays between 1pm and 2pm at the Salvation Army (Cambridge Heath), 70 Mare Street, Hackney E8 4RT to sing popular songs, world music and songs from the shows. No previous singing experience is necessary, and there's no requirement to read music. Just come along when you can and join a fun, sociable group of people of all ages who enjoy getting together to sing!

Hackney Songbirds perform at Royal London Hospital

The Hackney Songbirds are delighted to have been invited to perform for the Friends of the Royal London Hospital as part of the Friends' recently launched Music Project.​ Come and hear us sing a selection of Classic Love Songs in the Atrium in the main Whitechapel reception area of the hospital on Friday 19th May at 12pm!​​

About the Choir

The Hackney Songbirds are directed by Gina Fergione and Lucy Myers. Gina and Lucy alternate taking weekly rehearsals. The Hackney Songbirds brings together two choirs: the Silver Songbirds and the St Joseph's Hospice Community Choir.
